This is a wonderful video I got to direct, shoot and edit for the Los Angeles band SEGO. We explored the idea that no matter how hard one tries to repeat a basic motion, it’s the subtle differences between each performance that might make for an interesting edit. On a more metaphorical level, this editing style matches one of the key messages to the song, which suggests that the more you try to fit in, the more you’re going to stand out in some way. OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.

"Shame" is the first single off Sego's forthcoming LP, Sego Sucks, out April 5 on Roll Call Records.
